The Training Center was formed in 2010. It is recognized by the IRS as not for profit 501c3 organization. Donations are tax deductible.

Training Center program is offered free of charge to families with students in Kindergarten-8th grade attending Marion Community Schools, Lakeview Christian School, and St Paul Catholic School.

Funding comes through IDOE's 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant and local individuals, businesses, churches and organizations believing in our mission. The Training Center is a proud recipient of grants from the United Way of Grant County, American Woodmark, and the Fairmount Round Robins to assist with special projects for our families such as food, clothing, shoes, and transportation.

New Life Community Church provides the use of their education wing/facilities nominal fee to the Training Center along with additional financial support.

The Board of Directors for the Training Center is comprised of community leaders whose professional backgrounds include education, marketing, and business.

Community Partnerships
-
Purdue Extension - Monthly visits from a trained nutritionist. Works with students in teaching them healthy eating habits.
Additionally, an education specialist teaches students
Character Building and Life Skills.

Grant County 4H - Training Center students complete at least two 4H projects to submit for judging at the local fair.

Great Achievements - Tutoring services for Indiana Learns eligible students in 4th-8th grade

Indiana Wesleyan University - Students assist as tutors and volunteers with daily programming, homework help, etc. Music Therapy students lead small group sessions with 2nd grade students.
